DigitalMemoriesDJ.com is a proud member of the Canadian Disc Jockey Association. As a DJ there are numerous benefits to being a member of the CDJA. Everything from lower operating costs associated with Licencing and Insurance to greater exposure by being included on their website. Personally though, I would say that the most important reason for us to be part of the CDJA is that it gives our clients greater security and the knowledge that we are a legitimate business and legally we have everything covered.

Whether it’s wedding planning or planning any type of event that requires music, a lot of effort and money goes into hiring a DJ. It’s important to know who you’re hiring and having that knowledge beforehand that they are reliable!

After the cut, the CDJA has a list of 20 essential questions that you should ask any potential DJ. It is important to have the majority of these questions answered so that you can have peace of mind before signing any contract!

1. Our wedding date is January XX, 20XX. Our reception starts at about 6:00 pm, but we’re having an Ensemble playing during dinner. So we’d need someone from about 8:00 to 1:00 a.m. Are you available?

2. Do you provide a written contract?

3. Do you have wedding packages that we may view or discuss?

4. What is the total price for these package(s)?
